WHITE WEDDING marks Jann’s feature film directorial debut. Jann was educated at Oxford and NYU Graduate Film School. After graduating from film school, she worked as an assistant editor on natural history films for National Geographic.
Jann Turner has written and directed hundreds of hours of television. She has made award-winning documentaries and worked for two years as part of the team of producers on the TRUTH COMMISSION- SPECIAL REPORT. She is the co-creator of MZANSI and the SABC3 drama series HARD COPY that recently won the SAFTA Award for Best TV drama. She is also the author of the books: HEARTLAND, SOUTHERN CROSS and HOME IS WHERE YOU FIND IT.

KENNETH NKOSI
Kenneth Mncedisi Nkosi was born in 1973 in Rockville, Soweto. In 1986, he got the first taste of acting in a community theatre group and continued his studies as a student in
dramatic arts. Kenneth made his debut in 1995 in a comedy called AFRODIZZIA at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre. In the same year he began working with Annie Barnes who specialised in children’s theatre and their collaboration proved to be a spectacular success for three years.
Nkosi’s television roles include the sensational South African soap opera ISIDINGO and SAINTS, SINNERS and SETTLERS directed by John Matshikiza.
In feature films, Kenneth has appeared in Academy Award Winner TSOSTI, recent box office hit GANGSTER’S PARADISE: JERUSALEMA, SURPRISE and a featured role in the international sci-fi hit and Academy Award nominee DISTRICT 9.

Rapulana Seiphemo is one of South Africa’s best know actors, with critically acclaimed performances on stage, TV and film.
His theatre career spans back to 1987 with APARTHEID IN THE COURT OF HISTORY and his other key theatre roles include the acclaimed MY CHILDREN MY AFRICA and
THE BLACKS. Rapulana has also directed a number of plays including: STATEMENTS AFTER AN ARREST UNDER THE IMMORALITY ACT by Athol Fugard and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE by Tennessee Williams.
Probably best know for his lead role in the TV soap opera GENERATIONS, Rapulana has appeared in several South African TV shows including: MUVANGO, ISIDINGO, DEAFENING SILENCE and SILENT WITNESS for The BBC.
His feature film roles include playing the leading role in GANGSTER’S PARADISE: JERUSALEMA, for which he won best actor award at the Durban International Film Festival. His other feature credits include: THEMBA, HIJACK STORIES, and Academy
Award Winner TSOTSI.

Stepping Stone Pictures is a partnership between Jann Turner, Kenneth Nkosi and Rapulana Seiphemo. Previous TV credits include: MZANSI – a series for SABC1, which won the Duku Duku (Audience Choice Awards) for Best TV drama in 2005.
Their feature film debut WHITE WEDDING, was chosen as the official South African
entry for the Academy Awards and will open theatrically in the US in September 2010.
Current features in post-production include new film PARADISE STOP, also written
and produced by Turner, Nkosi and Seiphemo, directed by Turner and starring Nkosi and Seiphemo.
